Gylfi Arinbjörnsson, president of ASÍ, says on the radio news, that examples are visible of that companies are abusing the poor situation and dark future view of the economy of Iceland and lower their employees wages eaven though the company is not facing immediate financial problems.
Gylfi has asked the companies that do have to lower wages, to spare the employees with the lowest wages. He says that the employees of companies are usually ready to do what they can to avoid loosing their jobs. But the presidents of companies have to be respectful and careful. When employees job persentage should their work hours decrease in the same proportion. Employees working 80% position should work 4 days a week.
